Hentai/Anime adverts in Heavy metal magazine.

Controversial one this!
We all must realise the magazine we know and love is partly funded by the devil that is advertising.
I personally have no problem with the adult anime ads, I have a collection myself, but as a father also (they are well out of reach of my kids!) I understand some of the content could be objectionable to some HM readers.
My point is, what % of HM readers buy this stuff do you think?,any comments would be interesting.
I noticed the last special had an ENORMOUS amount of the issue dedicated to it, do you thumb past it in disgust or read?
i'd love to hear you views.

I don't feel one way or the other about them. They're there, but so what.

I usually don't notice them until someone points them out.

I don't mind them, I'm not particularly interested, but I'm not offended either. Mostly I wonder who actually spends $30 - $40 for these.

For some reason I am offended by the free porn cards, there's another one in my copy of March 2010. That's not what I buy Heavy Metal for.

It seems there is a slight broadening of the advertising base in general recently, I like it. I get to learn about things I didn't know, like Winged Tiger.

I agree with what is said here. In a time when people are buying less and less magazines, there needs to be a support structure in advertising to keep it going. I think it would be silly to disassociate other adult forms of erotica with this magazine. Personally I am not a consumer of Anime porn, but have no problem with it in there and see the point.
